Schlumberger

We had a family fast for Sam the first Sunday in February. Aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, siblings, and parents were all fasting that Sam would be able to get a job. Nine days later, he received an offer. And then another offer. And then more interviews. It was crazy. But we have big news! The decision has been made. Sam has accepted an offer from Schlumberger. We will be moving to Sugar Land, Texas after graduation and he starts work June 6th.

The more we learn about Houston, the more excited we become. Houston could not be more of a different world from Ithaca but we are so excited for this opportunity. We will be in Sugar Land for 18-24 months and then have one international rotation and then we will come back to the States, most likely Sugar Land.

Now, Schlumberger? What? It is pronounced Slum-brrr-zhay (ish). According to Wikipedia, it is "one of the world's largest oilfield services companies." Sam will be working in the Human Resources department doing generalist work. We feel so blessed and feel like this will be a great fit for our family. We are so happy!

I bet you are excited to have an idea of where you'll be for the next several years, and an international roatation sounds pretty fun. I can't wait to follow you as that happens!
