Dewberry Farm

We had been looking for a place to go to celebrate the Fall. We heard about Dewberry Farm and I was excited. It was so hot. I think it was in the 90s. Happy late October, Texas!

Of course, Alex loved the animals. We bought a bottle of soda and Alex thought it belonged to him, and him only. He carried it around like he owned the place.

We walked up to the pig race area but we didn't know what was going on because the worker was just wandering around (microphone was broken). He asked for three volunteers and I told Sam to volunteer but Sam said, "No way." When the overall-man walked by, I stood behind Sam pointing to him and jumping up and down. Overall Man chose Sam! I was happy; Sam was not. Sam was a good sport though. He learned he had to put on a fake pig nose and make his best "Heeee-uhhh piggy piggy" pig call. He didn't win. He claims it is because he is not capable of making a high voice.

He got to keep the pig nose though. Alex didn't really want to wear it but Edison loved eating it.

Animals, tractors, and slides. Can this day get any better?

The corn maze was hilarious. I thought we were walking on concrete. The ground was so hard. It was insane. I don't know how the corn even grew. But it wasn't growing well, so I guess that explains it.

On the hayride. It was nice to have air moving by us. Do you see my red face? It was hot, hot, hot!

We took a break in the shade for a little while.

Alex was fearless when it came to the playground. He ran into the fort alone, found his way to the slide (he had to go the long way to avoid a wobbly bridge he didn't want to walk on), and went down the slides. Then repeated, as many times as we let him.

Alex decided to make sand angels.
