Michael and Sarah's Wedding

Michael and Sarah were sealed in the San Diego temple. I was so glad I was able to go in and observe their marriage.

It was so fun to visit with cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents outside of the temple while we waited for the bride and groom. My cousin, Amber, helped my brothers entertain Alex and Edison. I cannot believe how grown up everyone has become.

The reception was that night on the beach just outside of Hotel del Coronado. We parked really far away because we didn't want to pay for the parking at the hotel, then we learned that parking was covered. When we finally made it to the reception, the wedding planners asked me for my name... and my name wasn't on the seating chart. I was pretty annoyed. I had driven really far and if there is going to be a seating chart then it needs to be flawless. It meant I wouldn't get to sit with the cousins my age. I was being a brat and wandering around while they figured out where to put the three of us! They eventually squeezed us next to my parents and they even got high chairs for the boys!

Besides being left off of the seating chart, the rest of the reception was perfect. I felt like they thought of everything. I could not have imagined it being any better. It was the most amazing reception I have ever seen. Because it was on the beach, the boys took no time getting dirty. I didn't even try to avoid it. It was a five hour reception and I just let them play.

The food was so delicious. The toasts with sparkling cider were beautiful. I especially liked the best man's (my cousin, Dallin, the brother of Michael) toast where he talked about losing his best friend. So sad!

Their cake coordinated perfectly with their colors and the beach reception. Everything was so well thought out.

It was a cold night and the boys don't own jackets in their current sizes. I just hope they ran around enough to stay warm with their bare feet.

I wish I could have spent more time with Justine and Kayla during the reception. I miss living with/near them in college.

Everyone was really good about playing with Alex and Edison. I was so glad to have help so I could enjoy parts of the reception as well.

Alex stole the show with his cape. I saw the photographer following him around. I bet the bride and groom have way more pictures than they want of my little boy.

Edison found his way into the arms of my beautiful cousin, Alyssa.

Along with the cake, they also had a sundae/smoothie bar. It was delicious.

The DJ was awesome. My family is also awesome which resulted in a lot of dancing.

My Grandpa Hilton's dancing was by far my favorite though.

After sunset, they had s'mores and a campfire. My Super Alex loved it.

Michael is very sporty. It was such a cute touch to have him throw the garter on a football.

They had an anniversary dance. Since the bouquet toss is for single ladies and the garter toss is for single guys, it was fun to have a dance for married people. Too bad my husband wasn't there. Throughout the song the DJ would announce anniversary lengths and if you hadn't been married that long then you sat down. Grandpa and Grandma Hilton have been married longer than anyone else there.

Dallin danced with Alex, too. Dallin is such a great guy. He found me to make sure it would be okay if he put Alex on his shoulders. I started laughing because I am not responsible thoughtful enough to do something like that. I would have just thrown the kid on my shoulders.

I made Adam dance with me later on in the night. Being alone at a wedding isn't awesome.

I am so glad I was able to make it to San Diego for their wedding. It was picture-perfect and I love the way weddings can bring all of the cousins together. I miss seeing everyone more often.

It wasn't your fault, Sarah! I don't think it was anyone's fault. The whole day was beautiful.
