Williston Toddler Days had a music day and we made tambourines. We got there to set up and then no one else showed up. It was only the committee members and our kids! The kids colored on the outside of the plates, we filled them with cereal, and then stapled around the edges. This is the same technique we used for our noise-makers on New Year's Eve.
Edison was mostly interested in eating the cereal.
We had fun making different rhythms with the kids, counting beats, and singing songs. I hope to foster a love of music in my kids. Music is a very important part of my life and I want to encourage them to play instruments and love music as well.
