Alex is aging! (10 months)

Weight: 17 pounds, 3 ounces
Length: 27.75 inches

Alex is growing up so fast and is constantly amazing us by how much he understands. I cannot believe he is ten months old because I feel like I just barely birthed him! Unbelievable! He is the coolest dude though. He is becoming more cuddly and, if I am lying on the ground, he will crawl up and kiss me and rest his head on my arm or stomach. I love it. Being a mom is amazing.

 Playing with the laundry basket.

Naked after bath time.

Forced to snuggle on Mother's Day.

Yummy caulk at the hardware store to supercharge him!

 Getting into everything.

That Ensign lost its cover about 10 seconds later.

"I've gotcha where I wantcha, and now I'm gonna eatcha."

Looking out our bedroom window by standing on the ledge.

It's always sunny when you're cool.

Attempting to feed himself.

The laptop is his stepping stool.

First Daddy mouth kisses!

He cut his finger. First band-aid.

He loves playing with balls and playing catch with himself.

He still eats everything he finds.

 He loves shiny things.

He hasn't quite figured out the shopping cart.

He lounges in his high chair.

He crawls around while holding things in his mouth like a cigar.

He loves sucking on carrots.

He helps us pack, and unpack even while we are trying to pack.

We snuggle him up on the couch.

He wants to be like Daddy.

He crawls around with toys in his hands.

He gets into everything in the kitchen.

He does not have an inside voice.

He loves computers.

He gets VERY angry when we take away a toy.

He has learned to clap.

He likes to pretend he is playing the drums.

He plays peek-a-boo.

He always responds to "Momma" by saying "Dadda"

He loves eating keys.

He has started banging his head into things if they get in his way.

He shreds everything he touches.

He gives violent kisses.

He can now open (if they are not completely shut) and close doors.

He is kind of a spastic.

Banana Mixed Berry baby food is his favorite.

He is becoming more stable.

We still swaddle him.

He chews like a real person (almost).

I bore him apparently.

We torture our son in the following ways:

We keep him out way too long until he passes out from exhaustion.

We put him in grocery bags.

We leave his clothes on top of his head.

We make him stand on the side of the bed instead of climbing on.

We pack him up (with toys at least)!

We stick him in dresser drawers.

We put both legs in one side of his pants (accidentally).

We forget to change his diaper until it is sagging off.

We try to make him show us his teeth.

We are always trying to fatten him up.

We make him hold our stuff (but we carry him)!

We let him suck on our toes for long enough to take a picture.

We put jewelry on him.

We put stickers on his forehead.

Here are a few more things Alex does for which I do not have a matching picture:
He...
...loves his head being scratched. He will completely relax.
...always leans over the edge of his high chair or turns his upper body around.
...laughs when we tickle him in his sleep.
...bear crawls immediately when he hits the cold bathroom floor.
...bites the spoon while we are trying to feed him and then cracks up when we pretend we can't get it back.
...has started to fake smile/laugh.
...waves hello and goodbye.
...has started to put sentences together (blah-ma-pa-da) instead of repeating the same sound (dadadada).
...climbs over things instead of going around.
...doesn't know how to give high fives. I feel bad when someone puts out their hand and he just stares.
...stands on his tippy toes to see something.
...no longer has a bald spot on the back of his head!
...alternates which hand he slaps down instead of slamming them both down together.
...gets the hiccups every single time he laughs a lot.

  3. Have I ever told you what an amazing mom you are? Cause you totally ROCK in the mom department! I love catching up every month with Alex :-)
I can't believe my FIVE month old only weighs 2lbs less than your TEN month old! What's up with that? HA!
Mak totally hated the Johnny Jumper too, but she loved her swing. Oscar LOVES the jumper and hates the swing, go figure! So into storage goes the swing :-)
I just love all the clothes Alex wears too, by the way. You dress him very well, where do you find them? Seriously! I keep finding cute things, but they all have some cartoon-animal or stupid saying on it! :-P

  4. CUTE! I can't believe he's already 10 months...I'm so impressed with all that he can do! I guess I need to start working on some of those things, like waving 'hello' and 'goodbye.' I'm so glad you have these posts. I can't wait to meet him! So I was thinking...my day off is Tuesday next week, which is the 8th, would that work for you?
