The boys definitely are keeping me outnumbered in our house because it turns out that...
WE ARE HAVING ANOTHER BOY!
The final tally was 27 votes (46%) for a boy and 32 votes (54%) for a girl.
I am so excited. When we walked into the room to get the ultrasound, Sam said, "Alex you're going to see your baby brother!" Then I talked to the ultrasound tech about how we wouldn't be disappointed either way. I thought we weren't going to be able to tell at first because Baby Bruce was really bundled up. I had to go to the bathroom in order to empty my bladder and give the baby a little more room. A few minutes into the process, she said, "Well, it's definitely not a girl." She said she is 100% positive that it is a boy. I thought she was lying because I was fully expecting to hear that we were having a girl. But then she showed us where to look and so we know that we are definitely having a boy!
The whole ultrasound picture is confusing to me and Baby Bruce was in breach position so it was hard to get a good picture of his face. We did see him drinking some amniotic fluid though. His little tongue is very cute.
We got a good shot of his hand. Holy smokes, this kid has abnormally long thumbs. He is going to be a Thumb War Champion.
Sam didn't cry this time. I teased him about it and he tried to claim that he didn't cry last time. But he totally did. He was so happy to have a boy first. I guess he doesn't really mind either way now that he has at least one boy.
I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I am not sure why it took so long to gain those ten pounds back, but I think everything will be fine. Baby Bruce is measuring right on.
20 weeks.
When I was 17 weeks along, I felt Baby Bruce kicking. I had felt flutters before but wasn't sure if it was baby movements until 17 weeks. Sam was able to feel the movements at 18 weeks.
We do not have a boy name picked yet. Once we decide, we will announce it when he is born.
Congratulations again! You look so great for 20 weeks!
